Design of lower leg prosthesis shell based on mycelial biomaterials

The lower leg prosthesis shell designed in this project is made of mycelium composite material. By exploring the mechanism of the natural growth of mycelium, the agricultural waste "turning waste into treasure" grows into biological composite materials. The prosthesis shell can provide the function of beautifying the prosthesis while providing the protection function for the prosthesis components. With the help of the unique texture produced by the mycelium material, it becomes a fashion accessory and brings new material experience to the disabled. They are encouraged and supported both physically and psychologically to become symbiotes with the prosthetic shell.
